Threads Archive

threads-archive.com

Back up and search your Threads posts and replies — stored privately in your browser.

Connect Threads, sync your posts and replies, and search everything locally. Nothing is ever uploaded to our servers.

Your first sync downloads your full history. After that, syncing is incremental — only new posts and replies are fetched.

FAQ

Why not just use Threads' built-in search?

Two reasons. First, Threads doesn't let you download a copy of your posts, so there's nothing to keep or take with you. Second, its search won't surface your own replies — here you can search both your posts and replies, filter by date, and export the whole archive.

What does the Sync button do?

Sync pulls your posts and replies from Threads into this browser. The first sync downloads your full history. After that, syncing is incremental — it only fetches what's new, stopping as soon as it reaches posts already in your archive — so repeat syncs are quick and never re-download everything.

When should I sync again?

Whenever you want to pull in posts you've made since last time. Syncing only adds new items — it never wipes or overwrites what you already have — so it's always safe to run. If nothing new has been posted, Sync simply reports that you're up to date.

Will syncing pick up edits or deletions to older posts?

No. Because syncing stops once it reaches posts you've already saved, it won't notice edits to older posts or posts you've since deleted on Threads — it only looks at what's new. To rebuild a fully fresh copy, use “Delete local data” and then Sync again, which re-downloads your whole history from scratch.

If I sync and refresh the page, do I need to re-sync?

No. Your synced posts and replies live in this browser's local storage (IndexedDB), so they survive page refreshes, closing the tab, and restarting your browser. Reopening the page loads your existing archive right away.

Why doesn't my archive show up in another browser or device?

The archive is stored per-browser and per-device, so it won't appear in a different browser, in private/incognito mode, or on another device. Use “Export” to download a backup, then “Import” it elsewhere to move your archive.

Does disconnecting or an expired token delete my archive?

No. Disconnecting clears only the app session — your local archive stays put. You just need a connected Threads account when you want to sync new posts; searching and browsing your existing archive works either way.
